July continues to see significant inflows into the ETF market

Podcast with Deborah Fuhr as ETFs reach a new record of assets under management and net inflows at the third highest on record, the ETF market is having a very good year, with investment in gold being led by concerns around inflation. There is more gold now held by ETFs and ETPS than is held by Germany’s central bank.

Investors are withdrawing from smart beta strategies , in part due to falling corporate dividend payments, but ESG investment is increasing, even for funds that focus on just one element of environmental, social or governance concerns.
