New UBS ETFs on Xetra: Sustainable Companies with Low CO2 Emissions

Four new exchange-traded funds issued by UBS Global Asset Management have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Friday.

With the four UBS ETF (IE) MSCI ESG Universal Low Carbon Select UCITS ETFs, investors participate in the performance of large and medium-sized companies with comparatively low CO2 emissions and a high ESG rating in their sector as well as a positive development of their sustainability profile.

Investors can choose to invest in companies from fifteen industrialised nations in Europe, ten industrialised nations in the eurozone, the USA or Japan. The weighting of a stock is limited to a maximum of 5 per cent in each case.

Companies are excluded from the index if they do not comply with the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, are involved in serious ESG-related controversies or are active in the areas of coal, nuclear energy, weapons, gambling, tobacco and genetically modified organisms.
