Investors’ confidence in fixed income ETFs is significant

Investor confidence in fixed income exchange-trade funds (ETFs) has been boosted by resilience to volatility, the US government’s buying of ETFs and the engagement of authorised participants (APs) to support the creation and redemption of ETFs through choppy markets.

Eric Pollackov, global head of ETF capital markets at Invesco outlines the driver for inflows into FI ETFs, misunderstanding about AP engagement in March, the challenges of communicating with the market today, and the drive to covert mutual funds converting into exchange-traded fund models, with attendant tax benefits.
