TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Cboe is excited to announce that Fidelity Investments Canada ULC (“Fidelity”) has returned to Cboe Canada with the launch of the Fidelity Active ETFs. The launch includes one new ETF and three ETF series of existing mutual funds, available for trading today under the symbols FINN, FCGC, FCLC, and FCGS, respectively.
“Fidelity is excited to expand our offering in the ETF space, to support advisors and investors looking for products that combine the flexibility of an ETF structure with the strong long-term performance potential of active management,” said Kelly Creelman, Senior Vice President, Products and Marketing, Fidelity. “We’re proud to partner with Cboe Canada, a leader in the ETF market, in our shared efforts to expand access to innovative investment products for Canadians.”
The Fidelity Active ETF/ETF series now trading on Cboe Canada include:
Fidelity Global Innovators® ETF (FINN) – seeks to identify and invest in companies across the globe that are positioned for growth through the application of innovative and disruptive technologies, or inventive new business models. It invests in equity securities directly, or indirectly by investing in Fidelity Global Innovators® Investment Trust.
Fidelity Greater Canada Fund (FCGC) – seeks to offer investors long term capital growth by identifying value in out of favour stocks, and investing in equity securities of Canadian companies, with the flexibility to invest up to 49% in foreign markets.
Fidelity Canadian Large Cap Fund (FCLC) – focusing primarily on equity securities of large capitalization Canadian companies, this fund aims to deliver investors long term capital appreciation through a value-oriented strategy, investing in companies the manager considers to be undervalued, with a focus on weathering market volatility.
Fidelity Global Small Cap Opportunities Fund (FCGS) – Through investment in small capitalization companies across global markets, this fund intends to provide investors with long term capital growth through selection of equity securities that the portfolio manager believes are mispriced due to the market’s under reaction to positive change or over reaction to negative change.
The four new funds join six Fidelity ETFs already listed on Cboe Canada. Investors can trade units of Fidelity ETFs through their usual investment channels, including discount brokerage platforms and full-service dealers. Click here for a complete view of all Cboe-listed securities.
